Pet Gazette of Brevard is celebrating the start of our 23rd year in publication! We are a monthly newspaper highlighting adoptable pets in our local shelters. Sometimes people prefer newspapers to hold.
Kevin Wolf, publisher, creates the Pet Gazette every month and -- with the help of local organizations -- he delivers the papers to what is hoped are high-traffic stops, the types of locations mentioned on the Past Covers page. The paper has a long shelf life; it passes through many hands and we're grateful for that for the pets' sake.
We are a Florida Corporation, not a non-profit or not-for-profit, so donations are not deductible. As you may have guessed, there is very little profit in any newspaper enterprise at this point in history. Pet Gazette's actual profit was below $2,000 last year. Obviously, profit is not our motive.
We very much appreciate monetary donations, donations of old or unwanted musical instruments and speakers, old stereo stuff, cameras and equipment. Donated items are sold for as much as the local market will bear.
Profit from the sales and the monetary donations help pay for PRINTING the newspaper, the cost of which is always going up, and GASOLINE for the delivery runs.
We do not take any payments through this Web site.
If you would care to help Pet Gazette by making a donation of any kind (and join our list of esteemed Individual Sponsors), please call the publisher, Kevin Wolf, at 321-266-1706.
