Privacy Notice

Last reviewed · CardLore editorial

CardLore is a reference site. It has no accounts, no newsletter, no comment section and no advertising, which means there is very little to collect and very little to say about it. This page says it anyway, in plain terms.

What is collected

Data handled by this site

WhatWhyHow long
Server access logsSecurity and fault diagnosisShort term, then deleted
Search terms typed into the site searchTo return results; not stored against a visitorNot retained after the request
Nothing else——

Access logs are generated by the web server itself and typically contain an IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser identification string. They are not linked to any identity and are not used to build a profile.

What is not collected

  • No accounts, so no names, addresses or passwords.
  • No newsletter, so no email addresses.
  • No comment section, so no submitted content.
  • No advertising network, so no advertising identifiers.
  • No payment of any kind, so no financial details. CardLore does not take bets or sell anything; see About CardLore.

Cookies

Browsing CardLore sets no cookies. The underlying software sets cookies only for a logged-in administrator of the site, which is not something a visitor encounters.

If analytics are ever enabled on this site, this page will be updated before they are switched on, and the entry above will say exactly what is measured.

Other sites

Pages here link to other pages on this site and, in a small number of cases, to national gambling help organisations. Those organisations operate their own sites under their own privacy policies.

No content is embedded from third parties — no fonts loaded from external services, no video players, no social media widgets, no tracking pixels. Everything a page needs is served from this domain.

Your rights and contact

Where data protection law applies, you have the right to ask what is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and to complain to your national supervisory authority. In practice this site holds nothing that identifies you beyond short-lived server logs.

Questions about this notice go to the editorial address on the Contact and Corrections page.

Common questions

Does this site use cookies?

Not for visitors. Cookies are set only for an administrator logged in to the site software.

Do you use Google Analytics?

Not by default. If analytics are ever added, this page is updated first and will state exactly what is collected.

Is any data shared with advertisers?

No. The site carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsorship, so there is nothing to share and nobody to share it with.
